Shree DwarkaDheesh ji, or Shree DwarkaNath ji is a chaar bhuja, dark Shree Krishn Swarup who stands upright.
Shree DwarkaDheesh’s lower right hand holds a lotus.
His upper right hand holds a Gada
The upper left hand holds a Shree Chakra
His lower left hand holds a Shree Shankh
This is the Swarup of Shree Krishn when He plays the ‘Aankh Micholi’; ‘Luka-Chupi’ Leela with Shree Radha and the other Gopis.
In the 2nd skandh of Shrimad Bhagavat, the description of Shree DwarkaDhishji is stated.
This Swarup first Appeared from the Bindu sarovar of Siddhpur. And Shree Brahmaji was the first to perform seva of this Swarup.
This Swarup went through several years of seva with different Rishis and Maharajhas. Finally Vyasji Muni had darshans and was told that Shree DwarkaDheesh has taken birth as Shree Krishn at Mathura.
Thus Vasji Muni gave this Swarup the the Pandavs for seva, which later passed on to Raja Parikshit.
After which seva was continued by a brahmin called Saur Sharma.This brahmin was given hukum in a dream to take this divya Swarup and establish It at Arbuda Parvati; now known as Mount Abu in Rajasthan.
So a mandir for Shree DwarkaDheesh ji was constructed and the rishi muni around that area did seva of this Swarup.
Later when Shri VallabhAchary was present, this divy Swarup Appeared to the tailor Narayan in a dream who was told to retrieve His Svarup from the broken mandir at Mount Abu in Rajasthan.
Later Shri VallabhAchary ordered Shri Damodardas Sambhalvare to obtain Shree DwarkaDheesh from the tailor Narayan and begin His seva at Gokul.
Shree DwarkaDheeshji was returned to Shri VallabhAchary, and when all of the seven Swarup were distributed, Shree DwarkaDheesh was presented to Shri Gusainji’s third son, Shri Balkrishnaji.
Shree DwarkaDheesh ji travelled to Ahmedabad, from where later He was taken to Kankroli near Nathdwara on the Raysagar sarovar; where His Haveli was built by Maharana Raysingh and Paat established.
Shri Gusainji explains this, “The Shrimad Bhagavatam’s five chapters on the Rasa Lila describe how all the Gopis came and sat by the Yamuna River, surrounding Shree Swaminiji. Shree Thakurji suddenly arrived in the form of Shree DwarkaNathji. With His two lotus hands, Shree DwarkaNathji covered Shree Swaminiji’s eyes. He then manifested two additional hands and played the bansuri for Her. Shree DwarkaNathji’s Leela is filled with Ras.”
He is the Mool Aacharya’s Sevya Swarup of Shri Balkrishnji.
Presently Sevya Swarup of Tritiya Peethadheeshwar 108 Shri Varajesh Kumarji Maharajshri.
